There was even talk about what if on other builds if other skills get change (I know building up dreams to just get crushed).
I would like to say, “Thanks ANET for letting me enjoy this part of guild wars because it is fun trying / talking about new builds because we want to, not because we had to.”

Are we talking pve or pvp builds here?

Have these skill changes been cancelled/backed out? I've just logged in to look at them and they all look the same to me in PvE, for instance Shadow Form at attrib 15 is still 20 seconds.

If you read the update, you would have noticed it said this would go live sometime today.

Yup, read the update and did notice that, logged in a few minutes ago and got a massive update of a great many files .... hence my concluding that the large update was .... the update mentioned for sometime today!! Simple logic really but thanks for the flame, keeps my heart warm

My post was not hostile or insulting. I was stating that if you bothered to read the whole update, you would have noticed it said the update goes live today.
But let's not go off topic. Feel free to PM an admin if you truly think I was flaming you.

PvE builds - specifically farming builds.

New community manger has stated in this thread that the update will go live today but later than usual (later than usual is open to interpretation) I am guessing 6 or 7 pm eastern time. Would provide a link but it is like one line somewhere around the forth page. I can't blame anyone for missing it since reading through ever post on this thread would be time consuming. I don't think Arkantos' reply was intended as a flame just read as direct to me.

Won't more people farming UW, decrease the drop rate of ecto's and such?

People could already farm with shadowform.
This skill adds nothing to the PvE game, it only caters to the new target group, the casual GW player... sorry, GW farmer.
Then we have skills that are still useless, like the bow attacks. Watch Yourself is now somewhat viable again, this was the positive one.
But you think about the use of Ether Renewal and Shadowform and whatever for farming. This has top priority. This game has gone downhill a lot. A dull game where the pve endgame consists of repetitive farming of the same mobs in the same area over and over.

Can we monks have a bit of our former solo farming glory back too? Just drop the nightmares in UW, that's all I ask for
On a more serious note, I actually find the change to 'Incoming' good. It's an elite skill afterall. Maybe the original 10 secs was a bit too much especially when combined with vocal was sogolon, but 3 secs was not worth it.

soo more people means more ectos wich means they drop price (and my aprents say i suck at math)

We'll see a temporary drop in ecto price as a few more people will hop into UW and blow stuff up, but it won't be major and it'll balance out after a bit. Just think back to after the SS/LB weekend when there was the favor spike. Stuff went down, people got bored and went away, prices panned out.

I for one never wanted overpowered skills (Ursan, this new trend) and consumables. Sigh. He is right though that the constant changes (usually nerfs) to skills is quite a bit less popular among PvE play than it is in PvP.

You are wrong ... most PvE-ers DO NOT want balance. They want overpowered skills.
Go to any Ursan thread and check out the responses. The vocal minority that wants Ursan nerfed is drowned out by the even more vocal majority that wants things easy.

Would almost say caters to the casual grinder. I don't like grind and thankfully I am not forced to do it.

I have to agree with you here, [energizing wind] energizing wind was what I wanted, what I got leaves me scratching my head wondering what is the purpose.
[Watch Yourself] Watch Yourself I like because I used to use it in a vermin farm. I had a friend that used it on raptors too but I really think someone should start a "Save the Raptor Fund" Those poor raptors - oh wait remember what happen to me first time through that area, said a few things like "What are those?" "HELP, RAPE! "It hurts, get them off of me!!!"

I have stated before my view of the game is limited to mainly farming because it is what I like to do. No one is forcing me to farm it is just what I like to do. "Repetitive farming of the same mobs" would get old quickly so I mix them up and use all ten toons to farm. To me it all most as much fun looking at what I will be facing and determining what build / equipment.
After reading your response about e-Mesmer skills I may have to agree with you on that one, but neither will affect me since I use [spirit [email protected]] spirit shackles and [ancestor's [email protected]] ancestor's visage when farming. The one I have used recently was [chaos storm] chaos storm with a low level primary Mesmer.

That only plays a role if you are saying that most PvP-ers do not want overpowered skills.
